Just came back from three weeks in France doing for the first time EVER comedy in my own language!!
The atmosphere is really really different than USA, much more intellectual, abstract, absurd or at the opposite...much more stupid. It has to be theater like in France...a bit too different from what I do.
I appeared on TV and was bored to death so I started speaking...English!!
New York City s got the best comedy clubs so I ll be here mostly even though my career as an actor won t benefit from it. NYC is theater and comedy clubs not auditions for movies...or so few! And my French accent is not really catered to the industry here!
I did some motion capture work in LA for next George Lucas video two months ago and was doing comedy in Tokyo comedy clubs as a regular club before that as well as organizing huge entertainment events..hiring funny comedian such as "Les Romanesques" a French Japanese completely crazy comedy duo.
In August I will combined a lifelong dream to do humanitarian work in Africa using my comedy skills..I will go to tribe and teach them some comedy, they don t really need I know..but that should be fun anyway. Don t ask how it is going to look yet, I have no idea. I will then go to Beijing to host politicals events and comedy nights that want to be lightened up!!
We are waiting answers for our next two big projects..an hour show with a comedy star from France at a top comedy club in NYC for a few weeks and financiers s answers concerning a sports comedy with a star in Japan. Money to finance projects that are not HUGE blockbusters or action thrillers things..are tough to get nowadays.
Our film LITTLE KLAUS BIG WORLD is awatiing new festivals and just got a sales agent. We were shown at the Nigata Film Festival a few months ago in Japan.
sounds like you are keeping busy! great work!! keep it up! looking forward to hearing more about africa and other adventures. GANBATTE NE!
